three dharma-insights　三法忍 The realization of the true nature of all things, which is categorized into three stages. 1) Insight attained through sound, that is, the realization of the ultimate truth which one attains by listening to the sounds of the Pure Land that convey the teachings of Buddhas and bodhisattvas; 2) Insight attained in accordance with the truth, that is, the realization of the ultimate truth which one attains through meditation, without relying on the teachings of Buddhas and bodhisattvas; and 3) Insight into the nonorigination of all existence, that is, the complete realization of emptiness.
